A painting deliberately deprived not only of the center and composition, but also of any intelligible figurativeness. This is the collapse of the world, hopes, plans, habitual way of life. These are sharp edges and wounding fragments. These are the thorns of an infectious pandemic and the dagger blades of fundamentalists. This is a deliberately crumbling picture, like a crumbling world devoid of cooperation, sympathy, mutual understanding, cut by the borders of states and religions, traditions and lust for power.
